Clouds Hill

This project was constructed approximately 10 years ago but had inherent defects. It is a timber frame building clad with a Marley Cedral board. Unfortunately, the cladding was not fitted in accordance with the manufacturer’s instructions. Over time with weather exposure the cladding was coming off the building and safety netting was installed to prevent any injury to persons or property.

There are also thirteen balconies to the block which had been incorrectly weathered and, despite various attempts previously to remedy this, water ingress was still occurring.

We therefore had to remove all of the incorrectly installed cladding and trims and replace this with new Marley Cedral boards. The original colour board was no longer available and our client, with planning permission, took the opportunity to change the colour of the board. During this installation fire barriers were checked and re-installed to comply with the construction of timber frame buildings.
