Bournemouth Echo

Dorset-based Spetisbury Construction is leading a major regeneration project at Kingland Crescent in Poole, following its recent success in Bournemouth Town Centre. Fresh from being shortlisted for Regeneration Project of the Year 2025 at the South Coast Property Awards, Spetisbury is now delivering key refurbishment and commercial upgrades in Poole’s town centre. The six-month programme, now five weeks underway, covers re-roofing and extensive refurbishment along Kingland Crescent’s left wing – from Specsavers to the railway pedestrian crossing. This includes retail spaces housing Grounded Coffee Roasters, Lavender Moon, Wild Roots Greenery, and Fone World.

John Grinnell, centre manager at The Dolphin Poole, said: “Bringing on board Dorset based Spetisbury Construction has been instrumental to our regeneration vision. Their reputation for exceptional quality and deep expertise in sensitive refurbishment makes them the ideal partner.”

Justin Ives, managing director of Spetisbury Construction, added: “Our priority is to keep the buildings operational throughout, enabling tenants to carry on business as usual. We’re working carefully to minimise disruption while tackling challenges like working near protected seagull nests and the railway.”

This project supports wider plans to boost Poole’s town centre vibrancy, local amenities, and sustainable growth, helping position the area as a thriving destination.
