Thomas Hardye School, Dorchester

Spetisbury Construction regularly carries out an extensive amount of educational work each year; this project being a typical example of the type of project we carry out in a busy, lively school environment, with 2000-plus students.

The project modernised the school’s dining facilities, which includes a large fit for purpose commercial kitchen. Remodelling and extensions have also offered new, large Drama and Performing Arts spaces, fit for purpose for the current examining board criteria.

The works were at the very heart of the school, with all works carefully and safely coordinated by our site team to ensure the highest Health & Safety standards to safeguard the students.

With the works spilt into various phases over the course of 12 months, this allowed the school to function unhindered; this being achieved by close collaboration and planning with our client’s management team.
