Mountbatten School, PBed Office

The project was to construct a new Personal Best Education Sports office.

This was to be constructed from a steel frame with a concrete power floated floor to the ground floor and a power floated concrete floor on a metal deck to the first floor. The external walls were constructed from masonry with the facing brick selected to match the adjacent building. Above that the building was clad with composite panels and a composite sheet roof.

At ground floor level a large room was formed to provide a gym which will be fitted out later by our client. Together with accessible toilet and shower facilities and office space. A steel staircase leads to the first floor which has a large open plan office with kitchenette, a consulting room, office and toilet facilities.

Services were taken from nearby buildings and loading had to be checked to confirm they were adequate to extend from.
